Quick overview
Townview Therapy:
When life feels overwhelming — when relationships are strained, anxiety won't quiet, or grief sits heavy — it can be hard to know where to turn. Therapy offers a space to be truly heard, to make sense of what feels confusing, and to find your way forward.
Townview Therapy is a private practice in Mallow, Co.Cork, offering support to children, adolescents, adults, parents and couples who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, conflicted or affected by trauma.
Through the psychotherapy of Co-Creational Relationship Mentoring, psychological safe holding is created to explore & empower a client's journey.
We understand how frightening it can feel when anxiety takes over, when relationships become strained, or when past experiences continue to shape your life. You may feel stuck, exhausted, confused, or unsure what you need — only that something isn't working.
How Therapy Can Help
Life brings challenges that can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain. You might be experiencing:
- Anxiety or overwhelm that won't quiet down
- Relationship strain — with a partner, family, or yourself
- Grief or loss that feels impossible to process
- Low mood or depression that's hard to shake
- Life transitions — career changes, separation, parenthood, retirement
- Patterns you keep repeating but can't seem to break
Therapy isn't about being "fixed." It's about having a relationship where you can explore what's happening, understand it more deeply, and discover what needs to change — at your own pace.
Not sure where to start? A 30-minute call can help you find the right fit — no obligation.
ABOUT US
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
The Psychotherapy of Co-creational Relationship Mentoring takes a unique approach to the relationship we have with ourselves, firstly, and how that is reflected in the quality of our relationships with others. There is huge emphasis in the co-creation of relational safety between the client and Mentor - created through non-judgement, compassionate listening and conscious understanding. There is a wide evidence base informing the practice, empowering the mentor to:
- See the individual as separate from what has happened to them.
- Understand all behaviours make sense in the context of our lived experience.
- Facilitate the safe holding that is an essential experience to finding conscious ways of relating to Self and Others.
- Understand while it is in relationship that we experience hurt, it is also in relationship that we heal.
- Acknowledge that all our unconscious, protective behaviors are attempts to safeguard the Self. They serve a purpose to both reduce the distress and find ways to bring resolution to a pressing issue.
- Model warm responsiveness to Self through ongoing commitment to their own personal reflection and supervision
