About us

Tricia Barrett, MA in Psychotherapy of Relationship Mentoring, HDip, Dip, MIARM, Shared-vision supervisor,PG Dip in Neuro-Dramatic-Play, Healing Together Facilitator

I first became aware of the Relationship Mentoring Approach as a mother of two young children, way back in 2010. My curiosity for the approach was peaked when I meet someone who had just completed her training -  she had a sense of solid calm that I so badly needed.  I have since been on a journey towards a deeper, more conscious relationship with myself which plays directly into my relationship with my children and my significant loved ones. The years since have been full of study, practice and research, leading to the creation of Townview Therapy.

I understand that one of our deepest trauma's is in the sense of disconnection in our relationship with Self and/or others - when we experience fear of expressing our needs or holding our own immense worth in the face of threat. In the absence of safety, we do our best to protect and reduce the threats,  until we can find the safety we do need. Both personal and professional experience of psychological and relational safety has deepened my understanding of this need for safety as a fundamental need for all therapeutic work.I have seen the profound impact of this felt sense of safety and the resulting empowerment of the individual.  As a professional, I endeavor to bring more and more conscious awareness and holding into my work with clients of all ages and stages.

Jackie Furlong, MA in Psychotherapy of Relationship Mentoring, HDip., Cert., MIARM, Educational Practitioner and Course Facilitator

My training began with an Interpersonal Communications Course in UCC following a difficult period in my life when a traumatic event came knocking on my door. I fell into a two year depression and that's when I found myself looking for something to help me understand what was happening for me. This one year turned into ten years of study, completing a two year HDip, level 8, and following a year and half gap, completed an MA level 9 degree in the Psychotherapy of Relationship Mentoring.

One of the core aspects of Co-Creational Relationship Mentoring is understanding 'story'. Each and every individual has a story and understanding our story helps us understand our emotional world. My passion lies in bringing awareness to how we view 'mental health', what I call Emotional well-being. The past is always in the present. We know this! Because we know the phrase - we carry a lot of baggage'. Bringing an awareness to your unique story will help bring presence, but to travel this road it is wise to have support in place.

The Co-Creational Relationship Mentoring Approach offers a space that provides both psychological and relational safety for you to tell your story and for it to be heard and held with compassion.
